Getting Started

Taking the first step toward care can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. At Positive Connections, we’ll move forward together — one step at a time. Begin here, and we’ll connect to find the approach that feels right for you.

How to Get Started

Step 1

Reach out to connect.

To begin, simply call, email, or complete the form on the contact page. Once your message is received, you'll be contacted and guided through the next steps.

Step 2

Screening Call

After reviewing your request, you will be scheduled for a brief screening call to get a better sense of your needs and what you’re hoping to achieve. It’s a relaxed conversation where you can talk about what you’re looking for and see whether the services offered feel like the right fit. This simple step helps your care begin in a clear, supportive direction with a provider who understands your goals for treatment.

Step 3

Schedule an Appointment

A 60‑minute psychiatric evaluation will be scheduled if the fit feels right. During this in‑depth session, I will explore your history, current concerns, and what you’re hoping to work toward. From there, you’ll receive a personalized care plan designed to support your healing in a clear, collaborative, thoughtful way.

Cost & Coverage

This page outlines accepted insurance plans, out‑of‑pocket costs, and how billing works, so you know what to expect before your first visit. Whether using insurance or paying privately, the goal is to keep the process clear and stress‑free—so you can focus on your wellbeing.

Insurance Accepted

Most patients use insurance for their visits, and claims are submitted on your behalf after each appointment. Tasha is in‑network with the plans listed below. If your plan is out‑of‑network, you may still be able to use benefits through reimbursement.

In-Network Plans

Aetna

Anthem

MaineCare

Martin's Point

Out-of-Pocket Costs

60-Minute Initial Psychiatric Evaluation: $225

30-minute Follow‑Up Visits: $110

Reimbursement Support If you're using out‑of‑network benefits, you can request a detailed receipt (superbill) to submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.

Billing Process

Insurance Billing Claims are submitted electronically after each visit. Your insurer will process the claim and notify you of any copay, coinsurance, or deductible amounts.

Private‑Pay Billing Invoices are sent electronically on the day of service. Payment is collected at the time of the visit.

Documentation Receipts and superbills can be provided for your records or reimbursement needs.

Questions about Coverage

If you're unsure how your plan handles psychiatric services, your insurer can clarify deductibles, copays, and telehealth coverage.
